Because of the big interest for that blanket, i'll try to write down the pattern.
Crocheting is not difficult and is suitable for beginners too, but you need to know how to use the Front Post Double crochet.

Dimensioins - You don't need an exact measurements or count stitches - the gauge is not important for that blanket. We can define our own size of the blanket.
First you must to know that every column needs 15 stitches: 15 single crochet, 15 FPDC/SC, next 15 SC and so on.
You can see at the picture:
I prefer Alize Cotton Gold - if you know my works, you should notice it. For that project I used the same yarn. Appr it takes me about 50gr/ 160m - 4mm hook for one color line. My row was appr 110-115sm.
Stitches -
Single Crochet and Front Post Double Crochet.
I also think it will be alright if you instead use Half double crochet + Front Post Double Crochet.
Start with color A:
1) Ch 151 - multiple on 15, SC in 2-nd CH and SC to the end, SH 1 and turn
2) SC to the end, CH 1 and turn
3) SC in next 15 stitches: (FPDC in SC from first row (!), SC in the next)* 7 times and FPDC in 15-th stitch; SC in 15 st: (FPDC in SC from first row (!), SC in the next) 7 times and FPDC in 15-th ... and proceed on that way to the end of a row, CH 1 and turn
4 = 2
5 = 3,
6 = 2...
18 = 3 but you need to fasten off.
Change color (B). And begin again from the start of a right side!
1-st and 2-nd row with the new color - only SC to the end.
3) (SC + FPDC in a first row with color B)* 7 times, SC in 15-th stitch; SC in next 15 stitches; (SC + FPDC in a first row with color B)* 7 times, SC in 15-th stitch; SC in next 15 stitches...and proceed on that way to the end of a row, CH 1 and turn
4 = 2
5 = 3,
6 = 2...
18 = 3 but you need to fasten off.
These are the basics for that blanket.
You can choose your color pallete and your own size.
